Hand tools by group 1
 Hand tools are devices used for performing
work on materials or a physical system using
only hands, Hand tools can be manually used by
employing force, or electrically powered, using
electrical current, Virtually every type of tool
can be a hand tool and many have also been
adapted as power tools, which get their motive
power from motors or engines rather than from
human mechanical action.
A chisel is an important wood working tool
for cutting and shaping wood. It is a
flat, thick piece of steel which has one end
ground to an sharp bevel to form a cutting
                    edge.
Guidelines and Safe Uses.
 Always remember to drive the tool away
from yourself I f it slips it won't hurt you
 Always make sure the tool is appropriately
  sharp .
 Never hit a chisel with a hammer unless it is
designed for that kind of work.
 Never use a chisel for prying, it's hardened
and is likely to be brittle.
 Sharpen the chisel when needed.
Storage and handling
 Keep the chisels put up in a safe place, not
lying around on the bench where you can put
an arm down on it and hurt yourself.
Uses and relevance to construction trades.
 Different types of chisel may be constructed
quite differently, in terms of blade width or
length, as well as shape and hardness of
blade. They may have a wooden or plastic
handle attached or may be made entirely of
one piece of metal, A chisel can be used in
  tiling and masonry/concreting trades.
An Auto-Level is a Professional Leveling Tool
     used by Contractors, Builders, Land
   Surveying Professionals, or the Engineer
    who demands accurate leveling every
time. Auto Levels set up fast, are easy to
use, and save time and money on every
                      job
Guidelines and Safe Uses.
 The level unit is set-up in a position which
gives a clear view of all points to be
leveled, or as many as is feasible under
site conditions. Each position where the
level is set-up is referred to as a
'station', and stations may be marked for
future reference by means of a timber
peg, steel pin, brass tag or paint mark as
befits the conditions. Marking of stations
in this way allows levels and angles to be
checked at a later date if a discrepancy is
  found.
 After use make sure all parts are in for
    another use.
 Clean up the tripod after all uses.
 Service your automatic level
    occasionally.
             Storage and Handling
 Store in a cool place away from dust and
    impurities.
 Never use during rain.
 Avoid dropping the automatic level.
The automatic level is used in the
constriction industry and is used for the
                    following:
 It is used to find the slope distance of a
  hill.
 It is used to level the surface of the land.
A set square or triangle object used in engineering and technical
drawing, is aimed at providing a straightedge at a right angle or
other particular planar angle to the baseline. The simplest form of
set square is a triangular piece of transparent plastic (or formerly of
polished wood) with the centre removed. The set square used most
 commonly bears the markings of a ruler and a half circle protractor;
the outer edges are typically beveled.
These set squares come in two usual forms, both right triangles: one
with 90-45-45 degree angles, the other with 30-60-90 degree angles.
Combining the two forms by placing the hypotenuses together will
also yield 15° and 75° angles. They are often purchased in packs
with protractors and compasses. Here, the body of the object is cut
in half and rejoined with a hinge marked with angles. Adjustment to
the marked angle will produce any desired angle up to a maximum of
                                  180°.
A wrench is a tool used to provide grip and mechanical
advantage in applying torque to turn objects usually
rotary fasteners such as nuts and bolts.
                  Guidelines for safe use.
 Never use a worn out cracked or tweaked wrench
replace them immediately to avoid injury.
 Always use the proper size of the wrench for the job.
 Prior to use inspect a wrench making sure it isn’t
damaged or defected in any way shape or form.
 Alwaysremember to clean the aluminum
wrench that has become rusty with steel
 brush or aluminum foil.
            Storage and Handing.
A wrench should be stored in a tool shed
     Uses and relevance to construction
                   trades.
 This
too can used in various construction
trades but it was built especially for the
 carpentry trade.
