- 5. Player meeting • KISS (Keep It Short and Simple) • Give them decklist-checking time • Competitive tournament with X rounds followed by top 4/8 5/9
- 6. During the tournament • Walk between tables • Watch games ! • Ensure that EOR time is printed and in BOLD • Critical task is paper : be sharp at BOR and last-slip collecting 6/9

- #4: Venue : Ensure that the room has sufficient seats and tables for expected attendance. Is there a backup plan if more pple are coming ? Does the organizer have all the stuff needed ? (logistics) New DCI ? How many players approx ? Remuneration ?? Food ?? Who sets the room ? Schedule ???? Staff : How many (orga) ? Contact them before Yourself : know the format ! - #5: Have to call the HJ for backup and GL (tardiness no) Propose an appeal tardiness thresholds tasks and breaks !
- #6: If not announced : top 8 by rank, no toss Number of rounds may be variable if announced before (6 rounds unless 10 drops before round 5 etc.) (VERIFY)
- #7: Walk, unless you have a big team … but seat whenever you are tired and watch games If a player want to talk : talk ! Handle an appeal
- #9: Staying @ table induces the player into thinking they don’t have to be focused as if error : judge is here. But you will be TIRED and you just can’t be focused
- #10: Talking about reviews is better if done before tournament, as judges can observe each other. Do pairs if applicable
