Components of
Trajectory
The horizontal
component of projectile
motion (with respect to
the x-axis) has an
acceleration equal to zero
(a = 0)
x
Since the horizontal
component of the
velocity of projectiles is
constant.
The vertical component of
acceleration is constant which
is equal to the acceleration
due to gravity of objects on
earth (a = -g) y
Where:
x – final position along x
x0 – initial position along x
Vox – initial velocity along the x-axis
y- final position along y
voy – initial velocity along the y-axis
t – time
g – acceleration due to gravity (9.81
m/s2)
X = x0+V0xt
Y = y0+V0yt-1/2gt2
Equation of Motion

Take note!
The height and range of an object reaches is
dependent upon
1.How fast it leaves its initial
position(initial velocity)
2.The angle at which it leaves from its
initial position (angle of launch)

  • #6: Did you know the Three Laws of Motion? We have Law of Inertia, Acceleration and Equal Reaction. What does Second Law mean?
  • #14: Arrange the following words in order to get the definition of the decoded word earlier.
  • #20: Please be guided with the following rubrics
  • #21: Please be guided with the following rubrics
  • #26: Constant – occurring continuously over a period of time
  • #33: From the report of group 2 it shows the vehicle speed up . Every minute there is 1 km/h increase on the speed of the vehicle. As you can see the increase in every minute is constant . Therefore we can say that the vehicle has a uniform acceleration. Again, what is uam?
  • #34: The X and Y components of the initial velocity with respect to the angle launch given by the equation
  • #35: From the report of group 3 and 4 it shows how gravity affect the direction of the motion or force. So, everything that we throw upward will eventually go down because of the gravity. And also the reason why we are not being thrown outside the space
  • #45: a
