This document discusses linking language learning in the workplace with the classroom. It finds that there are many opportunities for language learning in the workplace that are not being utilized by either staff or students. It provides some recommendations for increased cooperation between the workplace and classroom, including information meetings, mentorship training, and visiting students during workplacements. It also discusses using authentic workplace language and tasks in the classroom, as well as empowering students by building on their prior skills and experiences. Sources that informed the document's perspectives on language learning and adult education are cited.
