How Can You Help Save The Oceans
- 1. By making some small changes every day that will make a BIG difference!
- 2. Use cleaning products that are environmentally friendly! Water and vinegar is an excellent “green” alternative to chemical products.
- 3. Remember to take reusable cloth bags with you when you shop so that fewer plastic bags end up in our landfills and oceans. Remember plastic is NOT biodegradable! It will last forever!
- 4. Always be respectful of the environment, and remember to REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE whenever you can!
- 5. If your family doesn’t already recycle, let them know that most plastic, glass, metal and paper products can be recycled. You can even earn some money buy returning some bottles to a bottle depot near your home!
- 6. Look at how much we can keep out of our garbage landfills and oceans if we all just took the time to recycle, and compost our organic waste!
- 7. Be responsible and take the time to cut up plastic products so they don’t get caught on any creatures, and seriously hurt or kill them.
- 8. If you notice garbage on the beach (or anywhere else), please take the time to pick it up and throw it in the garbage! Remember not to touch glass though (ask an adult to help you!) You can even organize a community clean-up of a beach (or any area) near your home!
- 9. Animals can’t speak up for themselves, so it’s up to us to protect them any way we can! Remember that we share the Earth with all creatures great and small!
