How To Create A Campaign Boost
There are two
ways to create a
new Campaign
Boost.
Click the + sign in
the upper right
corner, where you
can Create New
Campaign Boost.
Or, click the
Create A
Campaign Boost
button on your
home screen.
Enter a name for your
new Campaign Boost.
Select your budget
preference, choosing
between a daily spend cap
for your boost (minimum
$100 per day per
campaign boost) or
unlimited.
Specify your bid type,
CPC or vCPM and select
your bid amount.
Choose CPA ROI if you want
to track conversions/sales on a
direct response Campaign
Boost.
Enter a name to track your campaign
conversions as well as the conversion
amount.
Select Create Conversion Pixel to
generate the pixel code you will
place on your page where the
conversion is completed.
Choose to have
your campaign
begin immediately
after compliance
approval*, or to
begin on a specific
date and time.
*Please allow up to 48
hours for your content to
be reviewed by our
compliance team
Choose an end date
for your campaign
or choose to have
your campaign run
continuously by
selecting “Never
Ends.”
Please note times are
in 24-Hour Clock
format and based on
Eastern Standard Time
Zone (US).
*Tip: by holding “Ctrl” on a PC or “Cmd” on a Mac, you can select multiple channels at the same
time.
If you select Include,
your Campaign Boost
will ONLY target the
channels you select
from the drop down.
If you select Exclude,
your campaign will
target ALL topic
channels except the
ones you’ve selected
to exclude.
Channel targeting can
be updated to add,
enable or disable
targets at any time in
the Targeting tab of
your Campaign Boost.
Select your Targeting Type,
choosing between a Topic or
Brand targeted campaign if you
are running a CPC campaign.
If running a vCPM campaign, you
may choose from Topic, Brand,
Interest or Retargeting.
Choose the countries you
would like your campaign to
target.
If you would like your
Campaign Boost to target run
of world (ROW), select All
Countries.
If you wish to only target
specific countries, select
Include and choose your
desired countries/regions.
Your Campaign Boost will
ONLY target the countries you
selected to include.
If you select Exclude, you will
target ALL countries EXCEPT
the countries you’ve selected.
Choose the device(s)
you would like your
Campaign Boost to run
on.
You may select one
device, all or a
combination.
For Mobile and Tablet
targeting, you can
choose the OS you
would like to target as
well.
Choose the
appropriate language
your campaign’s
headlines will be in.
For example, select
‘English’ if your content
headlines will be in
English. If your content
headlines are in
Spanish, please select
Spanish.
There are a few different ways to set up your tracking.
You may set up Tracking Variables in Boost Settings, use
Custom Variables in Boost Settings or include your tracking in the
Destination URL when uploading your content under the Manage
Content tab. To avoid discrepancies, we recommend you set up
tracking using only ONE of the above methods.
To set up Tracking Variables or use Custom Variables, select the
gear icon to the right of Tracking in Boost Settings.
One method to setting up
tracking can be found in
the following example:
Source: revcontent (This
can be something to
easily identify the source
of clicks. The source
needs to be the same
across ALL your boosts to
passback correctly)
Medium: <adv_targets>
(This allows you to see
which target channels the
clicks came from.)
Term: <widget_id> (This
will passback widget id
performance.)
Content: <content_id>
(This allows you to see
clicks by each piece of
content within your
campaign boost.)
Name: This can be your
campaign boost’s name
or something to easily
identify the specific boost
in your tracking.
Be sure to select ‘Build Tracking
Code’ at the bottom of the window
to save your tracking.
If you would like to use your
own Custom Variables, you
may add them at the bottom
of the Tracking setup window
in Boost Settings.
Be sure to select ‘Build
Tracking Code’ to save your
tracking.
Once you’ve completed your
Boost Settings, you will be
taken to the Manage Content
tab to upload the content that
will run in your Campaign
Boost.
Select Add Existing to add
content from your previous
campaign boosts to your new
campaign boost.
Select Add New and enter
your Destination URL to
upload new content to your
campaign boost.
When creating a new piece of
content, be sure to capitalize the
first letter of each word.
You can set up headline
variables by entering
{City}, {State}, and/or
{Zip} into your headline.
To view all accepted
variable replacements
simply hover over
</>Variables.
Note tracking was added to the
Destination URL. In this case, we do not
recommend adding tracking to Boost
Settings as well.
Tracking should be in Boost Settings or in
the Destination URL, not both.
Choose the appropriate content
type your Destination URL leads
to: Article, Video or Mobile App.
Preview your new content in
real time as you upload the
image and headline.
By clicking on the Actions icon, you
can quickly edit your Campaign Boost
URL, Headline, Brand Name &
Image.*
*Note: Any adjustment to Headline, Brand Name, Image or URL,
will send your Campaign Boost into Pending for Compliance to
review.
Quickly edit the headline by selecting
the pencil icon.*
Enable or Disable a piece of content at
any time.
Easily turn a channel on or off by
toggling the ON/OFF icon to the
right of each target.
Select the box to the left of a
target to adjust specific topic
channel bids.
Bids can be adjusted at any time.
Bid on specific target channels
and domains with granular
targeting and bid pricing
optimization.
Select the box to the left of the
Targets to adjust all topic channel
bids at once.
Select + Add Targets to add
additional target channels at any
time.
