Building your first campaign
Get Prepared
Our anti-spam policy requires:
• Your name
• Your business address
(spam filters look for this as well)
You should also use:
• The Juicy logo
• Links to different pages on the Juicy website
• The branding colors
• A picture or two (found in the press pack)
Use your CM knowledge to make a campaign
that grabs and entertains your audience, getting
them to engage with your campaign!

Customize your template
Let’s make the template everything you need!
Click the customize tab to get started.
• Use the logo of choice
Whichever you like best
• Re-size the logo
Using the slider
• Align your logo
Wherever you think is best
• Have the logo link to the Juicy website
Good way to engage with the brand

Make it on brand and unique
• Choose your social settings
Let people share your campaign in various
ways
• Choose the language of your campaign
I’d assume English, but perhaps you’ll
surprise me
Fill it with content
When you choose a campaign template, it is
filled with campaign material ready to edit! You
can choose to keep the format provided, or add
and remove layout elements as you wish. A
layout is a section of content within your
campaign that can have one, two, or three rows.
You can find the add layout button at the
bottom of your campaign template, which will
give you the layout options within the template
you are in.
You can also remove any layout within your
template by hovering over the content and
clicking on the cog that appears on the right.
Then, click delete.
Fill it with content!
Within each layout, you can add and delete any
content, as well.
Adding content can be done within the add
content tab.
You can drag and drop the following content
options into your template:
• Text – Add a text box to your layout. Headers
and normal text can both be found here.
• Image – you can also drag a picture from
your computer directly to a layout.
• Spacer – Add spacing between content
elements. You’ll be able to choose the
amount of space once placed.
• Divider – add a bar in between content. Bars
can differ between templates.
• Button – link to content using a stylized and
eye-catching button.
Fill it with content
Like layouts, you have the option to delete
content, as well. If you hover over any content, a
trash can will appear in the upper right hand
corner. This will allow you to delete content
without deleting an entire layout.
With text, you also have the option to customize
different elements. This includes bolding,
italicizing, making text a link, choosing if you’d
like it to be a header, numbered list, bulleted list
or quote, and inserting data.
Preview and test
Ensuring your campaigns look absolutely
magnificent is a MAJOR step you shouldn’t
miss. Though it may look perfect while you’re in
the editing screen, it’s always good to test and
make sure that none of your content goes
askew.
Once you’re finished adding content to your
campaign, click Preview. Take this moment to
look over your content for spelling or formatting
errors.
Then, click I’m done, return to snapshot.
From there, click define recipients. Choose
the Juicy Main Contacts list, and press next.
This is the list your final newsletter will be sent
to.
Preview and test
Once you have clicked Next, take the next step
by pressing Test and define delivery. In this
step, you’ll have the opportunity to send a
preview of your campaign to your email. This is
another great step to ensure that your email is
formatted correctly.
Send yourself a test email, and once you’ve
taken a look to make sure the email has come
through perfectly, press next. You’ll then have
the opportunity to send your campaign!
Send your campaign
Congratulations! You’ve made a perfect
campaign to send out!
For now, we’ll be sending the campaign
immediately within your local timezone. Make
sure that the confirmation email is scheduled to
be sent to your Campaign Monitor email.page as
Then, press Pay for this campaign.
Send your campaign
On the following page, you’ll have the option to
pay for your campaign. You can choose one of
our two monthly plans, or at the bottom, you can
choose to pay just for this campaign at the
bottom. Choose this option.
Send your campaign
On the following page, it will ask you the same
three questions. We’ll be going into more detail
on the monthly plans in our billing course, so for
now, choose to Pay every time. This will give
you the opportunity to use your credits to pay.
Send your campaign
As you have seen in the previous pages, each
campaign you send with us costs $5 (or 500
credits) plus one cent (or one credit) per email
address.
You can see that this is calculated for your
benefit on the payment page. If you are in
Australia, you’ll also see that GST is calculated
within the cost.
If you use credits, GST will not be included, as
when customers buy credit, they pay GST at that
time rather than at the time of sending their
campaign.
In this case, we’ll be using our credits, which is
the default setting. So go ahead and click Send
campaign immediately.
Congratulations!
You have sent your fist Campaign!
