- 4. The Story of Arbit Choudhury When I was in my B-school (NITIE), Hemant and Shubham, created a comic character called Arbit Chouhdhury as a mascot for our event. After the event, Shubham one day sent a PDF of all the comics he had created to his friends. His friends liked it so much that they forwarded it to their friends .. And so on! Within months the comic became so popular that we realized we had to continue with it. The only way we could have reached this network of friends, friends- of-friends and their friends … was to use the web. And so we created www.arbitmba.com and a mailing list. Today Arbit has grown into a 4000+ community with a website, twitter feed, Facebook and orkut groups. Had it not ben for our ability to create a quick website for Arbit, we would never have been able to reach so many fans and followers of Arbit.
