How To Make A Faded Background Picture In 2003

To create a faded background picture in PowerPoint 2003, insert a photo or graphic and stretch it to cover the entire slide. Then select the picture and click the Color button to apply a Washout effect, fading the image. You can adjust the fading further using the Contrast and Brightness buttons if needed. Finally, add text to the slide by selecting a slide layout from the Task Pane that will appear on top of the faded photo.
