- 8. Do you like eating traditional food? Have you ever heard about “pempek”? Well, pempek is fishcake, traditional food from South Sumatera. Let me explain how to make it. Read the following text carefully.
- 9. First, mix a kilogram of minced fish meat with a small cup of water. Don‟t forget to add some salt to taste while stirring the mixture.
- 10. Next, add ½ kilogram of cassava flour (sago) into the mixture.
- 11. Then, make the mixture into the dough by stirring it until smooth and easily shaped.
- 12. After that, the dough can be made into various types of pempek by boiling, steaming, frying or grilling.
- 13. Finally, after being cooked the pempek is ready to serve with a dark sauce called cuko. It‟s easy, isn‟t it?
