- 2. Step 1 Get Assessment Tools - Sign up at beautyful.ly/exambook/parent for a free account to use the tools you need to assess the tutor.
- 3. Step 2 Check Tutor’s Qualifications - At least a degree holder AND/ OR - 5 years or more of teaching experience. In our centres, we interview only candidates with at least a 2nd upper-class honours or equivalent, if they are not NIE-trained or have 2 years or more school experience.
- 4. Step 3 Assess teacher’s subject knowledge - By having an account with Geniebook, you will be able to use the assessment tools. The tool will automatically assign a grade for the teacher based on 2 factors: - Accuracy of answers - Time taken to answer each question as compared to other teachers who have taken the same assessment With Geniebook, you can also share the link to the assessment directly with the tutor/agent. They should score at least 85% for Knowledge. If you are marking the written answers on your own, there is no way to find out the time taken by the tutor.
- 5. Step 4 Sit in the 1st lesson We highly recommend parents to sit in the first lesson.
