VERB: to grow, develop, or be successful
What does it mean to thrive?
Do you currently support yourself with daily
practices like meditation, cultivating positive
imaging, or repeating positive suggestions?
POLL
Using tools to help you Thrive rather than Survive
Thrive
Overall sense of wellbeing is
positively improved
To Survive
Your wellbeing feels threatened or
jeopardised in the face of change
To Thrive in a Project Environment - APM
“Many people see a project as moving
from A to B. It’s a technical thing, with
processes to follow. What I have learned
is that projects will always require
some form of behavioural change. Project
managers will always need people to
do something differently. If project
managers haven’t experienced personal
change through a tool like coaching, they
will have very little empathy with the
human side of change.”

To Thrive as an Employee in the Workplace
Thriving at work is all about vitality and
learning. People who are thriving at work feel
energized on the job. They also feel that they
are constantly learning and applying their new
knowledge. Thriving employees are motivated
by their work and experience great personal
growth on the job.
Clearly, it feels great to be thriving.
“While many would be leaders seek to rule a company, market or nation,
the real work is in ruling the mind. It is easier to boss other people than
master your life. Worldly power is a cheap trinket compared to spiritual
mastery. Only those who rule their own consciousness are fit to lead
others, because they have learned to lead themselves”
Alan Cohen
We don’t get what we want,
We get who we ARE.
Various
Self mastery is key to thriving..
What is your vision
of the future? • A project delivered
on time and to
budget
• To feel confident
and thrive in your
job/work
Why do we sometimes feel like we are
surviving, when we really want to thrive?
Beliefs pass down through the generations
The difference between Thriving and
Surviving
• Love
• Fear
Love or Fear…It’s all perception…
• A loss of job
• Reduced financial circumstances
• A loss or change of responsibility
• Demotion or reduced salary grading
• Change in working location
• Change in current working relationships
(colleagues)
• Change in equipment (Physical or IT)
• Change in health
Our beliefs are show up in our dialogue…
• I can’t...
• I must…
• I’ve got to…
• I should…
• I need to…
• I’m not…
• I have to… What do you REALLY believe
about how you can thrive in
change?
Your language and
mental imagery can
move you towards or
away from your vision
 1 in 6 workers will experience depression, anxiety or problems
relating to stress at any one time
 There were 602,000 cases of work-related stress, depression or
anxiety in 2018/19 in Great Britain
 In 2018/19, stress, depression or anxiety were responsible for 44%
of all cases of work-related ill health and 54% of all working days
lost due to health issues in GB
 1 in 5 people take a day off due to stress. Yet, 90% of these people
cited a different reason for their absence
 Presenteeism accounts for 2 times more losses than absences
The implications of NOT thriving in the Workplace
 Every year it costs business £1,300 per employee whose mental health needs are
unsupported
 9% of employees who disclosed mental health issues to their line manager
reported being disciplined, dismissed or demoted
 69% of UK line managers say that supporting employee wellbeing is a core skill,
but only 13% have received mental health training.
Mental Health in the Workplace
What can you do to support yourself, or those you
are working with?
“We cannot solve our
problems with the same
thinking we used to create
them”
Albert Einstein
Moving from Surviving to Thriving
Realisation Argumentative
• Meditation
• Mindfulness
• Aha moments
• Journaling
• The power of suggestion
(affirmations/hypnotherapy)
• Conscious awareness of your
language and self-mastery
(coaching)
• Positive Imagery (multi-sensory)
Gaining Realisation with Meditation
• De-clutter your thinking
• Create mind gaps
• Allow in inspiration and new thinking
• Move away from a sense of separation and fear
Multi Sensory Positive Imaging
• Your mind doesn’t know the difference between
something vividly imagined and something
experienced in the world around you
• Starts with acknowledging the problem and then
moves towards a solution
• Puts you in the action
Hypnotherapy
The power of positive suggestion
which lulls your conscious sensor,
and re-programmes your
subconscious.
Become intentional with your language and
mental imagery!
So it no longer keeps you
drifting away from what you
want!!!
Making conscious choices
• De-clutter your thinking
• Create mind gaps
• Allow in inspiration and new
thinking
POLL: Which LIVE session would you like to experience
• Finding Focus
• Transforming Fear and Anxiety
• Stress to Inner Peace
• Creative Thinking and New Ideas
• Releasing Overwhelm
• Support yourself, when you are supporting
another
Creating Positive Change Audio Collection
• There is a lot of science in the
use of meditation, positive
imaging and hypnotherapy
• This programme intentionally
focuses on healing symptoms
from multiple angles on each
topic
• Opportunity to suggest topics
you want to work on
"After using the audios I felt
instantly calm , separated from
the overwhelm of the
day/situation, more focused,
more positive, much more
clearer thinking and relieved of
stress and in a much better
place both emotionally and able
to tackle the day in a much
more controlled way."
Samantha Engleby
Business Owner Eckersley’s
Blinds
"I must say a big thank you to
your audio bundles as I believe
they've helped me get not just
one, but 2 job offers after
successful interviews!!"
Julia Newell
Senior Business Analyst
"I found them both calming and
motivating. Having that
reassurance and confidence to
know that it is in our control to
feel differently about a situation
that presents to us is powerful."
