Let’s start!

Go to your
chosen browser

We will use

Type in address bar

The homepage
shows up

We will sign up
for an account

So, click sign
up

and click NEXT button
until verified

Then finally,

To start using Bitly,
close the
Welcome Message box

You will see
your dashboard

The Create Bitlink Tab

This is where you make
Bitlinks

If you click this tab

The tab will expand to this

The tab will

This box is where
you paste long
URLs

After which, click
Create

This Button is your
Account Menu

Click to access
your settings

Your name and email address

Click the arrow
below your
email address

It will expand

You can edit your
profile

Or just update
Any info on this
window

You can also find
the Deactivate
Account button

Here you can find
your Bitlink allocation

This means you have
10,000 unused
regular Bitlinks

And 500 unused
branded Bitlinks

Here is the Options section

Click Settings

Under Settings
are 3 sub menu

Social Sharing

Domain
Default

Advanced
Settings

Click Social
Sharing…

It will show your
connected
accounts

Click Advanced
Settings

You will see the
same Bitlink
allocation

Just leave it as
it is for now

Back to the Options section

Click
Resources

It expands to this window

It expands to
this window

Basically the
Resources window
contains

RESOURCES

Click Support

Then you will
be directed
to the Bitly
support page

Let’s go back to
the Dashboard

We will try to
create a Bitlink

Say we want to
share a long
URL

Copy the URL

Go back to Bitly
Dashboard

Click Create Bitlink

Right Click
and paste the
URL in the
box

Click
Create

The Edit
Bitlink
window will
appear

You can edit
the title

customize the
Bitlink

Add or create
tags

Then click
Save

You can copy
the Bitlink

by simply
clicking the
Copy button

Then paste it to the
address bar of your
browser

Then you will be
directed to the
original website.

That easy!

You can also
share the
Bitlink

Click on the
Share button

A sub window
will appear

Then just click
Post

Then you can
view it in
your
Facebook
account.

So that is how
to make a
simple Bitlink
using Bitly.
