Roger Waters wrote most of Pink Floyd's popular album The Wall and was the singer, songwriter, and bassist for the band. The song "Comfortably Numb" from The Wall was written by David Gilmour for a solo album and brought to Pink Floyd, with Waters writing the lyrics; it is divided into light and dark sections sung by Gilmour and Waters respectively. The 1982 film The Wall uses each song from the album as a music video, with the video for "Comfortably Numb" seen as one of the most important scenes to the story of The Wall.
