Shape was engaged by IBM to fit out their new office in Canberra based on a future workplace model, consolidating from four storeys to one floor. The project, covering 2,400 m2, included various workspaces and was completed on time and on budget with zero defects. Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders ensured minimal disruption and successful project delivery by November 7, 2014.

Design Input Design Input Secure Environment IBM Level 5, ACT IBM Level 5 Project Deliverables: OVERVIEW SHAPE was engaged by IBM to complete their new office fitout based on the workplace of the future model delivered previously in Sydney. IBM occupied a four storey building and wanted to minimise their footprint by moving into a single floor. The project included client areas, innovation and training spaces, sit stand work points, hot desking, meeting and conference spaces, secure rooms, and specialist server rooms. ONGOING RELATIONSHIP With offices in every mainland state and territory in Australia, SHAPE have been able to deliver the Canberra and Sydney fitouts consistenly through a culture of shared learnings between SHAPE state offices. By delivering these projects successfully, SHAPE have established a great relationship with the client. MAINTAINING OPERATIONS As specialist in working within live environments, SHAPE was able to mitigated any potential issues through daily communication and weekly meetings with all stakeholders to ensure all works were carried out with minimal disruption to IBM and other building tenants. SHAPE’s highly experienced project team also utilised the knowledge from previous projects to assist with the successful delivery of this project. ON TIME DELIVERY The programme allowed to complete this project was limited, with no allowance for extensions. Continuous engagement with our client, the architect and subcontractors allowed SHAPE to avoid any delays in the project, handing the project over on schedule.
