This document discusses the importance of establishing information resource centers (IRCs) in public organizations in Bangladesh to facilitate knowledge management, development planning, and compliance with right to information laws. It proposes a model where a central IRC acts as a knowledge hub, collecting, organizing, and disseminating information to support policymaking. Research findings suggest that the lack of such organized information sharing hinders efficient decision-making and wastes resources. The conclusion recommends that all ministries and divisions establish professionally-run IRCs to centrally manage information, ensure transparency, and accelerate development activities through improved access to knowledge.
