This document contains a rubric for assessing an IGCSE Internal Assessment (IA) on three aspects: design, planning and conclusion/evaluation.
The design aspect evaluates how well the student defined the problem, selected variables, controlled variables, and developed a method to collect relevant data. The planning aspect looks at how well the method was implemented.
The conclusion/evaluation aspect examines how well the student stated a conclusion based on results, evaluated weaknesses/limitations of the procedures, and suggested realistic improvements. Feedback is provided for each criterion to help the student improve.
