Campbell Scott, CEO of the Irish Internet Association, gave a presentation about a new social networking platform called IGOpeople. IGOpeople aims to connect individuals, groups, and organizations so that they can find the right people to work with to get things done. The platform allows users to find and connect with others locally and globally, voice opinions, get recommendations, report issues, and have greater influence. IGOpeople hopes to launch a beta version in autumn 2008 and be the first international directory that gives all users - individuals, groups, and organizations - a complete view of voices and a way to work together to accomplish goals.
