Gesù torna a Nazaret e guarisce i malati, attirando folle che sperano in miracoli. Una donna sofferente da dodici anni riesce a toccare il suo mantello e viene immediatamente guarita, dimostrando la potenza della fede. Gesù le dice che la sua fede l'ha salvata, sottolineando l'importanza di chiedere aiuto a Dio.

- 2. One day, Jesus returned to Nazareth, where He taught the people and healed the sick. Wherever He went, the crowds followed Him, hoping to hear His words or witness a miracle. Jesus then went to a nearby town, to visit the home of a man whose daughter was seriously ill. Among the crowd that surrounded Him was a woman who had been sick for twelve years. She had spent all of her money on doctors, yet the sickness continued. Desperate, she thought, "If only I could touch Jesus, I know I would be healed!” Seeing Jesus from afar, she began to make her way through the crowd. It was not easy. The multitude pressed on every side, and everyone was trying to get close to Him. However, she was driven by one thought: she just had to touch Jesus! Gesù era ritornato a Nazaret, dove aveva insegnato a tutti e guarito i malati. Dovunque andasse, le folle lo seguivano, sperando di udire le Sue parole o di assistere ad un miracolo. Gesù si recava in una città vicina, presso un uomo che aveva una bambina gravemente malata. Tra la folla che Lo circondava c’era una donna che soffriva da dodici anni di una malattia ricorrente. Era passata da un medico all’altro senza successo e aveva speso tutti i suoi averi in cure e dolorosi trattamenti, senza che la malattia cessasse. Disperata, la donna pensò: “Se solo potessi toccarlo, so che potrei guarire!” Vedendo Gesù da lontano, cominciò ansiosamente a farsi largo tra la folla. Non era facile. La moltitudine premeva da ogni lato e tutti cercavano di avvicinarglisi. Tuttavia quel pensiero la spronava: doveva toccarlo... anche solo il lembo della Sua veste!
- 3. Finalmente Gli fu vicina. Allungò la mano e riuscì appena a sfiorargli la veste. Immediatamente la malattia che l’aveva tormentata per tanto tempo cessò! Si sentì pervasa da una stupenda sensazione di salute e benessere. Capì di essere stata finalmente guarita, dopo tutti quegli anni di pena e di sofferenze! Gesù si fermò per un attimo, avendo sentito uscire da sé quell’energia guaritrice. Rivoltosi alla folla, chiese: “Chi mi ha toccato?” I discepoli Lo guardarono stupiti: “Con tutta questa folla che ti preme intorno, domandi chi ti ha toccato?”, Gli chiesero. Ma Gesù, sapendo già chi era stato, si voltò verso la donna. Ancora tremante e stupefatta, ella Gli si gettò ai piedi e raccontò l’accaduto. Finally she came within reach, stretched out her hand, and was able to barely touch the edge of His robe with her fingertips. Immediately the pain that had plagued her for so long stopped completely. A warm and wonderful feeling of health and well-being swept over her body. She was healed at last! Jesus paused for a moment. He had felt healing power pass from Him. He asked, “Who touched Me?” “With this crowd pressing around You,” His disciples replied, “You ask who touched You?” But Jesus already knew who had touched Him. He turned to the astonished woman. She fell at His feet and told Him her story.
- 4. Con lo stesso amore e la stessa tenerezza con cui un padre parlerebbe ad una sua bambina, Gesù le disse: “Figlia, la tua fede ti ha guarita. Va’ in pace e sii risanata”. Questa storia ha una morale che possiamo mettere in pratica nella nostra vita. Tra tanta gente che si accalcava intorno a Gesù, perché solo una persona aveva ricevuto la forza guaritrice del Suo tocco? La donna appena aveva sentito parlare di Lui, aveva creduto con tutto il cuore che Egli avrebbe potuto aiutarla e piena di fede, si era fatta strada verso di Lui. Dio è ben disposto a guarirci e ad aiutarci in qualsiasi momento. Dobbiamo solo chiederglielo! Egli ci dice: “Io sono il Dio di ogni essere vivente; c’è forse qualcosa di troppo arduo per me?” (Geremia 32,27). With the love and tenderness of a father talking to His daughter, Jesus told the woman, “Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” We can certainly learn from this story. How is it that among the crowd that thronged that day around Jesus, she was the only one to be touched and healed by God? When the woman heard about Jesus, she was firmly convinced that He could help her and she put her little faith into action. God just waiting to heal and help you. All you have to do is ask for His help.
