1) Researchers at USP-ICMC and partners are developing indoor security robots, autonomous ground vehicles, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
2) For indoor security robots, prototypes include Pioneer and Erratic robots equipped with lasers and cameras, and experiments in remotely controlling robots over long distances.
3) For autonomous ground vehicles, prototypes include sensors like lasers and cameras, and work on obstacle detection and response algorithms for assisted driving.
4) Preliminary work is also being done on developing unmanned aerial vehicles for agricultural applications.
