The students of New Era Senior Secondary School in Vadodara, Gujarat identified issues in their community that they wanted to address, such as illiteracy, poor school conditions and undernourished children. They partnered with the Maharshi Arvind Municipal School to provide support. They collected donations and school supplies, taught origami, gifted footwear and speakers, and bonded with the children through activities. Both groups of students felt they had formed new friendships and the municipal school children want the New Era students to keep visiting. The New Era students plan future skill-building activities and fundraising to continue their support.
