- 1. DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL AMRITSAR GIVING A FACELIFT TO THE CHILDREN OF LESSER GOD
- 2. BRAINSTORMING SESSION Discussed various issues. All students gave their opinions. Students’ interest in the uplifting of the downtrodden children was the most sensitive issue. And the story begun. It was indeed a very interesting and enriching session for all of us .
- 3. ADOPTION Matter was brought to the notice of our Respected Principal Ms Sangeeta Singh, who herself has a very sensitive heart towards the weaker section of our society. She agreed and supported whole heartedly. She suggested to adopt a Primary Govt. School in a very remote village. Through her an application was sent to the Deputy Commissioner asking for his consent to permit our school to adopt a school .
- 4. BIT BACKGROUND TO THE PROJECT From the beginning of the Academic Session we had formed ‘An Interact Club’ with a group of some students who were collecting donations in the form of money, clothes and stationery, to help the needy children. This gave the students a sense of responsibility towards society.
- 5. WRAPPING LOVE Students are wrapping gifts for the children of the school adopted by Delhi Public School Amritsar.
- 6. AND THE JOURNEY BEGINS Arrival at the adopted school. Waiting to observe the hard reality of life.
- 7. LEARNING IN MOTHER EARTH’S LAP For them this is their learning destination. Touch of the Earth makes them strong. Heat and cold dare not pass by them. Learning to fight as they grow.
- 8. STEPPING INTO PINCHING SHOE Feeling their miseries and shortcomings. Life is not a bed of roses for many. Lets understand the pain quotient. (PQ)
