- 2. INTRODUCTION Sri Ramakrishna Samagra Shikshana Kendra, (Primary and High School) Gottigere, Bannerughatta Road, Bangalore-83. Is an Integrated school of mentally challenged (border line) dumb and hearing impaired along with normal children. This has helped the children to Correct themselves and face the society boldly. We would like to write to you that our school has already started creating awareness taking up one problem as a Project and spread the message to society and trying humbly in our own way to change the attitude of the people.
- 3. PROJECT-2 TOPIC 2005-06 “ SAY NO TO PLASTICS ” We have an Eco-club in our school. Under which one Project would be taken up yearly. It is worked out step by step, and by implementing this we are trying to create awareness among the surrounding people. As a first step of the Project, Our students , wrote some slogans and prepared banners. They also listed out the hazards caused by plastic. This was Printed as a handbill on 5th June 2005. Our students tookout a Procession with banners and slogans in our surrounding area. As a part of the Programme our students collected the discarded Polythin covers. On the route of their Procession which was as much as 25 cement bags full. Then they handed it over to the village Panchayat office. We are sorry to say that so for no action been taken in this regard , but we are proud to say that our handbill was the inspiration for the people of weaver’s Colony to start an Eco-club in their area. This club is still active Conducting many awareness programmes. Such as planting trees in their area.
