This document summarizes a project undertaken by Anando, an NGO for disadvantaged children in Kolkata. 5 girls from Anando's weekend activity club led a project to paint a mural on a wooden classroom partition at a local government school. The project involved 60 children total. It brightened the drab school hall and gave the students a sense of pride and ownership over their school. The project helped build the girls' confidence in taking leadership, working as a team, and teaching younger students. They were proud of making the school a happier place and bringing joy to others.
