- 3. Contacting your child’s classroom teacher Class teachers are available most mornings from 8.30-8.45am (If you wish to discuss an issue) or you can make an appointment to see them via Mrs Convery.
- 4. School Session Times Period 1 9.00am-10.15am Period 2 10.15am-11.30am Recess 11.30am-11.55am Period 3 11.55am-1.10pm Lunch 1.10pm-2.00pm Period 4 2.00-3.15pm
- 5. Quality Beginning Your children completed a program to establish their classroom routines. They have been involved in a variety of activities and as a group they have developed class code and consequences, what makes a good student, teacher, classroom. They have discussed values and ways they can display these. Values we are focusing on from P-12 Responsibility, Excellence, Strive, Pride, Equality, Connectedness, Trust
- 6. Homework/Home reading Please ensure that your children are reading at home and record their reading in their college diaries. Please ensure that your children are learning their times tables at home every night. Homework is given out on a FRIDAY and needs to be returned the following THURSDAY .
- 7. NAPLAN TESTING Grade 5 will have three days of testing Each child will have the opportunity to complete a number of past tests in their classrooms in preparation . The test consists of some Literacy and Numeracy.
- 8. Grade 5/6 Sport Interschool sport will be in the morning for the summer season. The children should be organised and bring their hats, snack, drink and sunscreen each week. The school has a policy NO HAT-NO SPORT.
- 9. Camp A camp has been booked in 2010 for grade 5/6 at Sovereign Hill on the 7 th and 8 th of June returning on Wednesday the 9th A note will be going home later this term and we will require parents to pay a deposit. You will be given the opportunity to pay for the camp by instalments.
