1Title FIVE DAY MIDYEAR IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) FOR TEACHERS
2
Rationale
As change is inevitable in the Department of Education, it leads us to the understanding of embracing new policies
to upgrade the educational system benefitting most specially the learners. The DepEd also recognizes that the quality of learning
is greatly influenced by the quality of teaching.
Therefore, it is imperative for the DepEd to hire good teachers and to support their development in the profession. Organizing a training
program will aid teachers in the construction of new knowledge about instruction as well as in revising traditional beliefs and
assumptions about education, community, teaching and learning to suit the present needs of learners. Our school will conduct this in-
service training for us to be reminded by the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (RPMS-PPST) its remaining indicators.
Through the conduct of this Yearend In Service Training, we will be refreshed to do our duty efficiently and effectively.
Faithful to the commitment of the Department of Education (DepEd) to quality teaching, the Caningay National High School,
will conduct this In-Service Training and other seminars to capacitate teachers in enhancing their teaching capability as vital to the
attainment of desired learning outcomes.
Base on DepEd Order No.002 s, 2023, Professional Development of Teacher, there shall be an annual five-day mid-year break
that shall spent for the conduct of the Midyear Performance Review and Evaluation and the School Based In-Service Training (INSET)
of teachers.
Likewise, pursuant to DepEd Order (DO) No. 001, s. 2020 titled Guidelines for NEAP Recognition for Professional Development
Programs and Courses for Teachers and School Leaders, the Department of Education (DepED), through the National Educators
Version April 2021 Page 2
Academy of the Philippines NEAP, issues the DepEd Professional Development (PD) Priorities for Teachers and School Leaders for SY
2020-2023.
The PPST Strands stated therein are the targeted Professional Development Priority Areas of Caningay National High School as
reflected in the Annual Implementation Plan for Professional Development.
Moreover, the DM-OUHROD-2024-0037 entitled Guidelines on the Conduct of the In-service Training for teachers (INET) for School
year 2023-2024, suggested that the school-based INSET shall focus on the teachers’ learning and development needs on the sharing
information on the policies and priority programs of the department. Therefore, Caningay National High School, match these
suggested topics on the PPST Domains and PPST strands for Teachers for S.Y. 2023-2024
