This document provides instructions for installing and configuring Oracle Beehive clients, including the Oracle Beehive Integration for Outlook (OBIO) client, Oracle Beehive Conferencing Client, and an Oracle Beehive FTP client. The OBIO client allows integration of Beehive with Microsoft Outlook and involves downloading the client, configuring an Outlook email account, and configuring the Outlook client. The Beehive Conferencing Client supports instant messaging and involves downloading and installing the client with no additional configuration. The Beehive FTP client can be configured to connect to Beehive using supported FTP clients like FileZilla after installing the FTP client and configuring it with the Beehive server address, port, username and password.

INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING ORACLE BEEHIVE CLIENTS Raastech White Paper 2 / 12 INTRODUCTION Oracle Beehive offers a unified platform for all collaboration needs and provides a rich set of collaboration tools. Various collaboration services offered by the Beehive platform include: Content Management Services Discussions Service Email Service Instant Messaging Service Time Management Service Voice Messaging Service To effectively use the services provided by the Beehive platform, various Beehive clients need to be installed on the client desktop. This white paper describes the client installation and configuration on Microsoft Windows, and is specific to Oracle Beehive 1.4.3.0.0. These instructions leverage Oracle Beehive Central, which is a web-based client that provides users a central location to download supported clients and delegate permissions to other users for their email, calendars, tasks, notes, journals, and contacts. The following client configurations described in this white paper include: 1. Oracle Beehive Integration for Outlook (OBIO) 2. Oracle Beehive Conferencing Client 3. Oracle Beehive FTP Client

INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING ORACLE BEEHIVE CLIENTS Raastech White Paper 3 / 12 ORACLE BEEHIVE INTEGRATION FOR OUTLOOK To integrate Oracle Beehive with Microsoft Outlook, it involves three steps: 1. Install the Beehive client. 2. Configure an Outlook mail account against the Beehive server. 3. Configure the Microsoft Outlook client. Installing the Beehive Client 1. Download the client from the following link off of the Beehive Central server: http://<hostname>/bcentral/home.jsp?page=downloadobiowin 2. Click on “Download for Windows”. Save the Installer file to your local hard drive. 3. Start the installer by clicking “Run”.

The next screenshot shows the installation in progress (no action needed). Setting up an Outlook E-Mail Account 1. Based on your version of Microsoft Windows, the ‘Mail Setup’ page is accessed via one of the following paths: Control Panel Mail (for Microsoft Windows XP) Control Panel User Account Mail (for Microsoft Windows Vista/7)
- 5. INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING ORACLE BEEHIVE CLIENTS Raastech White Paper 5 / 12 2. Click on “Show Profiles”. 3. Select the “Beehive” profile and click on “Properties”. Then on the Mail Setup window, click on “Email Accounts”.

In the Service Settings window: a. “Account Name” field, enter your email address and in the “Password” field enter your password. b. Check the “Remember Server Password” option. c. Click on “Check Names”. This should update rest of the fields with details fetched from server. d. Click on “More Settings”.

Add team workspaces navigating to “Tools Workspaces Manage Workspace”. 3. A list of team workspaces which you are a member of is displayed. Select a workspace and click on “Add” to have it automatically added to and accessed from Outlook.

These instructions describe how to download and install the Beehive Conferencing Client. Installing the Beehive Client 1. Download the client from the following link off of the Beehive Central server: http://<hostname>/bcentral/home.jsp?page=downloadbeetubewin 2. Run the installer and follow the step-by-step instructions. No additional configuration is required. ORACLE BEEHIVE FTP CLIENT Per the Beehive documentation, supported FTP clients include FileZilla 2.x, NCFTP 3.2.6, SmartFTP 2.5.0, and Transmit 3.5.0. Installing and Configuring a Beehive FTP Client 1. Install an FTP client of your choice. 2. Use the following settings: Site Name / Hostname <your beehive server> Port 2121 (or whatever port that was configured) Username <your beehive email address> Password <your beehive password>
