- A goal is a statement of intention, or a hoped outcome for instruction
- ex:The goal of this power point is for viewers to learn about instructional design
GOALS
- An objective is particular to how and in what way the instruction will
influence the learner
- ex: After reviewing this power point viewers should be aware of the following:
- How goals and objectives drive instructional design
- Be able to identify the difference between goals and objectives in regards to
instructional design
Objectives
1. Action: What action the learner will take upon completing the objective
2. Condition: What conditions is it that the learner will act under
3. Criterion: What standards must be met by the learner when performing
these actions
Mager’s Performance Objectives
1. Audience: Be able to identify who the learners are
2. Behavior: What must the learners be able to do after instruction
3. Conditions: Under what conditions must the learner’s performance take
place
4. Degree: What standard must be set for the performance
ABCD’s of Objectives
