Introduction to IoT (Internet of Things)
Definition
The internet of things (IoT) refers to the network of physical
devices, vehicles, buildings, and other items embedded with
electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity
which enables them to collect and exchange data.

IoT devices can sense their environment, gather data, and
communicate with each other, and often with human users,
through the internet.
