History Of Internet The Internet was developed by Bob Kahn and Vint
Cerf in 1970s. They began the design of what we today
know as the “Internet”. it was result of another research
experiment which called ARPANET, which stands for
“Advanced Research Projects Agency Network.”

How the Internet
Works
Computers connect to each other and to the “internet”
via wires, cables, radio waves, and other types of
networking infrastructure. All data sent over the internet
is translated into pulses of light or electricity, also called
“bits” and then interpreted by the receiving computer.

Key Internet Protocols
Key internet protocols are as follows:
HTTP: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol is used to load web pages
using hypertext links.
HTTPS: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure is a protocol that
secures communication and data transfer between user’s web
browser and a website. It is a secure version of HTTP.

FTP: File Transfer Protocol is a standard network protocol used
for transfer of files from one host to another over a TCP-based
network, such as the Internet.
WEB TECHNOLOGIES
