MYNTRA
Myntra is a leading e-commerce company in India. It was started by a group of IIT/IIM
graduates in 2007. Today, Myntra is the largest online lifestyle retailer with over 200 national
and international brands under its banner.
1. USERS
Users are companies that use the Internet intensively in the core of their business.
Myntra use internet intensively for selling their product. They deal through online only.
E-COMMERCE
E-commerce (electronic commerce) companies exchange “real products for
real money through online channels.
Myntra is the e-commerce company which exchange the various branded products for real
money. They sell the different products online, and customer can also pay either through
online payment or cash on delivery.
CONTENT AGGREGATORS
Content aggregators companies are the company which provide information, and collect
information from different medium.
Myntra does not provide any such information or collect information; they only deal in
providing different branded products to customer.
MARKET-MAKERS
A market-maker acts as a neutral intermediary that provides a place to trade and also sets the
rules of the market. Some of the components show that Myntra is the market maker because
they provide virtual place to different brands.
BROKERS/AGENTS
Broker facilitates transactions for one party to another party and gets a commission.
Myntra work as broker/agents because they don’t have inventory. And they also help in
logistic for providing the product to the customer. Myntra retail only the latest and current
season fashion and they do not believe in the discounting model.

“Business Model: Myntra operates on an almost zero-inventory model with a focus on supply
chain automation and fulfillment. The company has partnerships with several suppliers, who fall
under two categories – raw material suppliers who supply the products and personalization
technology suppliers who execute the personalization on the products.”
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Internet services include support services such as consulting, outsourcing, website design,
electronic data interchange, firewalls, and data storage backups. Any service beyond
communications services belongs in this category.
Myntra does not provide any internet service, they only deal in providing different products
to customers.
2. COMMUNICATION PROVIDERS
Communications service providers may also be divided into several segments:
Backbone service providers, ISPs/OSPs, and Last Mile providers.
BACKBONE PROVIDERS
These companies make money by selling Internet connectivity services to Internet service
providers and large companies on a subscription basis.
Myntra does not provide any such service, they only sell products online.
ISP
Internet service providers (ISPs) provide the hardware and software that enable individuals to
gain access to the Web.
Myntra is not an internet service provider.
LAST MILE
The connection to consumers is sometimes known as the Last Mile because it represents the
physical connection between the POP—which is usually considered to be local, such as the
local telephone switch—and the end user. These connections can take many forms, such as
telephone wire (“twisted pair”), fiber optics, cable, and wireless.
Myntra is not a last mile service provider. They do not provide any such service.
3. SUPPLIERS
Suppliers can be divided into three segments: (1) content creators, (2) software suppliers, and
(3) hardware suppliers.
CONTENT CREATORS
Media/content suppliers are the developers and owners of intellectual capital. They produce
such works as music, games, graphics, video/motion pictures, and text (articles, news, and
other sorts of information).
Myntra does not create any content. They only sell product online.
SOFTWARE SUPPLIERS
Software suppliers provide software products, such as operating systems, printer drivers,
databases, electronic commerce software, and so on.
Myntra only provide the product like cloth, shoes, watch etc. But they don’t provide software.
HARDWARE SUPPLIERS
Hardware Suppliers provide and sell hardware products. Myntra don’t sell any hardware
product, they only sell the product like cloth, shoes, watch etc. online.
