(IPV) Interpersonal violence also known as domestic
violence is a behavior that intentionally uses force to
gain control or power over another individual
It is so important to understand interpersonal
violence because it needs to be identified when it
occurs because it comes in different behavioral forms
such as abuse , sexual assault, stalking, dating
relationship violence, bullying and gang violence
Interpersonal violence is a behavior that can be
committed by both the male and female gender
among all ages. Therefore it can be seen as a double
standard among who is right or wrong for their
action of violent behaviors against another human
being








Also controversy among IPV is surrounding the
misconception that all forms of violence has the origin
of aggression during early child hood Loeber, Magda
(Feb, 2008)
Related question to the subject to be answered:
Is the development of violence in women similar to the
intent as in men?
What specific treatments are available that
can help a family that is experiencing
levels of domestic abuse?

suggested to consist of the consistency of
domestic violence in relationships which
translates the complexity of the problems
with IPV.

component to keep a closer connection with a partner in which a
person is vulnerable and find the desire to continue to purse the
relationship even if it is unhealthy” (Hirschfeld, Klerman,
