Data Gathering Phase<br />Interview with Dr/Alaa sayed (EELU) Egyptian E-Learning University:<br />Dr.Alaa’s introduction: <br />EELU is the first university of its type in Egypt, where all means of learning are handled by the internet and E-Connection.<br />All students who have passed secondary school are accepted and the graduators too in condition that 10 year have passed from the last graduation.<br />Students register in the head quarter not on the internet.<br />The ELLU idea generated through Presidential decree in 2005 and started the actual build in 2007.<br />EELU teaches Business and IT. It also grants Approved certificate from the ministry of Higher Education equals the normal universities.<br />EELU has three branches (Ein shams , Tanta and Assuit).<br />Q1. To what extend did the society accept the idea of E-Learning?<br />Teaching starts in the EELU from short while and the number of students now is less than 200 students because of that type of education is very advanced to our Egyptian society and hadn’t the enough confidence to be accepted till now in order to spread enough and it needs more capabilities such as getting online all the time .<br />Q2. What do attract students in this type of Education?<br />The system in EELU is too far away from the normal universities routine .The online observation and the ease of getting lectures and references at any time even if the student did not attend the lecture.<br />Q3.What does push students away from this type of Education?<br />The trust of this type of education because it is new so many students feel that taking the normal way of education in Egypt is the safest way.<br />Q4.How the university deals with the new registered students?<br />Student registers in the head quarter, pay all the fees and after agreement on all the education branches that he needs, he goes under training for a week to learn how to use the online system.<br />Q5.Did the system fails before?<br />Yes, it did, but with the continually maintenance and reparation all the failures are fixed. The system still provides all the requested services.<br />Q6. How to handle and update the equipment and means of education?<br />Student pays fees for education in the E-Learning and at the end the final station of that money is the development of means of education in the university because this university is state university, it is not tend to gain profit.<br /> <br />
