 Print media is a printed version of telling new
through news papers and magazines.
 Before the invention and wide spread use of
printing press, hand written news was
circulated.
 In some countries it was chiseled on walls.
 And in some countries it was posted on walls
or read out to the public in town squares.
Intro to print media
After the invention of
printing press in 1440, the
mass production of news
papers were possible.
The invention spread
through out Europe.
Printing and distributing of
news paper became
popular.
A publication that appears regularly and frequently, and
carries news about a wide variety of current events.
Organizations such as trade unions, religious groups,
corporations or clubs may have their own newspapers,
but the term is more commonly used to refer to daily
or weekly publications that bring news of general
interest to large portions of the public in a specific
geographic area. The United States had 1,611 general-
circulation daily newspapers in 1990 -- 14 percent
fewer than it had in 1940, before the arrival of
television.

publicized in 1958 in Bhopal and
later got popular in 1983 with the

 Amar Ujala is India’s 3rd largest
newspaper with a total readership
of 45 million readers.
Headquartered in Noida, the

 It is best known to cover the

and entertainment. Amar
Ujala also concentrates on
encouragement of the local rural

Times of India is an English daily with a

 2.7 million newspapers. It was first
issued in 1838 and today it remains on
top among the English dailies in India.
 With headquarters in Mumbai,
The Times of India comes under the
list of the most trusted brands of the
country ranking at 88th number. It
covers the latest information of India
and even the headlights from all over
the world. It has sections related
to business, tech, cricket, sports,

by Mahatma Gandhi in 1924,
Hindustan Times is an English-
language daily
newspaper. Headquartered in New

 The Tribune is the 3rd most
popular English daily in
India which was founded in 1881
and was first issued in Lahore (now
in Pakistan). It was started by
Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a
public-spirited benefactor and is run
by a trust comprising five eminent
persons as trustees.
 The Tribune is the largest
selling English daily in North India,
publishes news and views without
any bias or prejudice of any kind.
The Tribune has two sister
publications, Punjabi Tribune (in
Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in
Hindi).
 Another Hindi-language daily
newspaper which was founded in
1965 and now owned by the Punjab
Kesari Group. The newspaper is
published from five centers such as
Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan,
Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.
 It was first launched by Lala Jagat
Narain and got the most popular

Punjab from 1981 to 1984. The
