The History of Social and Culture of Britain By Yusuf Kurniawan,SS,MA
Objectives: To make students know how British society was shaped and developed. To make students know about the social and cultural practices of British people from the ancient to the 21 st  century. To make students able to find out the relationship between this subject and other subjects related.
Lectures This subject is going to be delivered by presentations/ seminars. Discussion is feasible to be conducted after the presentation is done. The materials for this subject refer mostly to the book entitled “The Story of Britain” by Richard Garrett, Electronic Encarta Encyclopedia and some websites on the Internet, such as Wikipedia.org and Google.com. Students are highly recommended to copy the book and lecture handouts provided. Lecture attendance is obligatory. You must fulfill the minimum percentage (75%) of the total meetings or your participation in the final exam will NOT be considered, even though you pass the exam.
Assessment: Lecture Attendance QUIZ  (Oral) MID EXAMINATION  (Written) FINAL EXAMINATION  (Written) Lect (x1) + Quiz (x2) + MID (x2) + FINAL (x3) 8
