Introduction e twinning iris
- 1. Hello everybody! My name is Iris and I am Comenius assistant from Slovenia (Laško), currently working in Primary school in Spain, as an English teacher/assistant. Acctually I live in Spain for three years now, and I think that I´m going to stay here. First time I came here as an Erasmus student, really got in love with Spain and decided to stay. I like it here, which doesn´t mean that I don´t miss my family and my friends from Slovenia. I lived in Córdoba, Almeria, Valencia and now I´m in Baeza, and I ´ve seen most of it. Noth of Spain really reminds me of Slovenia, it´s so green, also habbits of people are similar to Slovenian ones – people are more serious, but friendly and generous. (Photo 1: Córdoba) Since I left Slovenia, I see it with different eyes, it´s so much more beautiful as I /(we) thought/think. I think we have it for granted, and we shouldn´t. I couldn´t say which country I prefer, I guess I love both the same, each of them have something that I like and what I don´t like, like all things in life, I´m refering to food, habbits, landscape, culture and so on. Maybe some of you »travelers« will agree with me, if I say, you don´t really belong home anymore, but still you can´t totally integrate in new country. So we are kind of »in the air, in the middle«. Happy where we are.
- 2. (Photo 2: Valencia) However, I consider myself as an open-mind positive person, I love life, laughing and challenges. Every day I am trying to learn something new. I´m a Primary teacher, but besides that, I love doing all kind of sports, I have also license title of Zumba and Ski instructor. What I really miss is skiing and hiking, Spanish people don´t really like to do much sport, they are more »easy going-party« people, and this is what I miss when I´m in Slovenia. I love to travel, meeting new people, learning about new culture, but I´m not really fan of flying, which is kind of paradox. And later, in »theme/topic« part, I´m going to tell you something about public transport and traveling in Spain, directly from my experiences, in case that you decided to travel.
