This document summarizes the BusKaro program, which is designed as a best practice and peer learning network for public transport providers in Indian cities. It launched in 2009 and currently reaches over 25 cities. The program holds biannual workshops called "Talking Transit" where public transport professionals from various cities discuss challenges and share solutions. Previous Talking Transit workshops have focused on topics like land acquisition strategies, driver training programs, use of technology and telematics, service branding and marketing, and developing integrated transit systems. The goal is to help cities establish modern, high quality bus services through peer learning and toolkits developed by the program.
