Bus Karo Plus is a program by EMBARQ India that aims to establish best practices and enable peer learning for public transport providers in Indian cities. It discusses challenges faced by bus companies in Mumbai and Delhi in expanding fleets due to lack of land for depots and terminals, and highlights how BMTC in Bangalore developed 38 depots and 50 bus terminals through long-term land banking. It also describes driver training programs for fuel efficiency in Andhra Pradesh and feeder bus services provided by BEST in Mumbai. The program currently reaches over 25 cities through its various initiatives focused on bus corridor safety, scheduling, performance, fuel efficiency and depot planning.
