TYPES OF COMPUTERS supercomputers Mainframes Minicomputers Microcomputers or personal computers WHAT IS A COMPUTER MADE UP OF? Any computer is made up of software and hardware.Software are instructions that tell a computer what todo and how to do it.Hardware are physical or tangible parts of a computer that functions under coordination of software.
- 3. INTRODUCTION OF COMPUTER HARDWARE Computer hardware are ;input hardware,processing hardware,storage hardware,output hardware and networking hardware. INPUT HARDWARE: These are devices that are used to input data /information/commands into computer. They are mouse,keyboard,image scanner,barcode scanner,etc.
- 4. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING COMPUTERS ADVANTAGES a. Computers enable instant communication. b. Computers are fast and accurate. c. Computers are multitasking. DISADVANTAGES a. Computers contribute to increase in unemployment. b. Improper and prolonged use of computers leads to health risks. c. Temptation to focus on entertainment. d. Privacy invasion risk.
