INFERENTIAL – Techniques
by which decision are made
only on a sample observed.
Probability, hypothesis testing,
correlation & regression
analysis are being used.

Collection of RAW figures like
numbers, symbols,
characters, images, audio,
video etc. representing an

It gives the status of the past
activities and enables us to
make decisions.
Data must be interpreted by a
human or machine to derive
