This project is co-funded by the European Union • 86 all-weather lifeboats (ALBs) to be decommissioned over the next 15 years – disposal could be costly • Marketplace is declining for some ALBs • We want to reduce our negative environmental impacts and move towards Circular Economy model • We are not the only people with this problem and we don’t have all the answers • Need to find cost effective & value generating options Why are we doing it?
