The April 2018 IoT Developer Survey, co-sponsored by several organizations, gathered responses from 502 developers to understand how IoT solutions are being built. Key findings indicate a focus on industrial automation, home automation, and smart cities, with primary concerns around security and connectivity. The survey also highlighted the dominance of open-source databases and identified popular programming languages and operating systems employed in IoT development.
