- 1. From Settings, click on icloud and create a new Apple ID using your current email address
- 2. Use your school email address. This is yournumber@schools.edin.org eg 09123456@schools.edin.org, then enter a password Write down your apple id and password! You will need this to download apps from the app store
- 3. You will then be prompted top enter some security questions. These will allow you to reset your password if you forget it!
- 4. Your Apple ID has been created. You should be presented with the following screen. At this point, you need to verify your account.
- 5. Log into your school email by going to http://office365.edin.org froma browser
- 6. Use your normal school username and password to log in
- 7. 4011225@schools.edin.org You should see an email from Apple asking you to verify your account. In this email, click the Verify now > link
- 8. The link will take you to the apple webpage and ask you to sign in with your Apple ID and the password you selected earlier. Note: Your Apple ID will be yournumber@schools.edin.org and the password is the one that you chose! You should’ve written this down earlier!
- 9. 4011225@schools.edin.org Go back to settings and click iTunes and App Store Sign in with you Apple ID and Password
- 10. Set up your account with the following information.
- 11. Finally, click back on settings. In iCloud, turn on the following: iCloud Drive Back Up Turn OFF Find My iPad
- 12. Finally….. • Any problems, please see Mr Gilroy in the IT Base. • At some point, Meraki will ask you to set a passcode. You must remember your passcode. • Do not enter ANY payment information. • From the app store, please download the following apps (free) • Pages • Keynote •Numbers • iMovie • Garageband • iPhoto
