Datavision I-Prompter for I-Pad

This user guide provides instructions for assembling the I-Prompter device in two modes: (1) "Traditional" prompting which involves attaching the iPad tray and glass to the teleprompter base mounted on a tripod for off-camera prompting; and (2) "Direct view" prompting which involves directly mounting the iPad tray to the teleprompter base for on-camera prompting. Care of the thin glass and exposure effects are also outlined.

- 3. Assembly for 'Traditional' Prompting Attach the ‘Teleprompter Base’ to the quick release plate of your camera tripod using the allen key, nut,bolt and washers provided. If your tripod does not have a removable quick release plate or the camera fitting nut is not removable then we recommend you buy a suitable add on plate from a manufacturer such as Manfrotto. 3
- 4. Slide the ‘Glass Frame’ onto the top of the ‘Teleprompter Base’ and secure with the wing nuts provided. Attach the cloth hood onto the ‘Mirror Frame’ using the Velcro strips. 4
- 5. Slide the 60/40 glass into the ‘Glass Frame’ with the green sticker facing the presenter Attach your camera to the ‘Teleprompter Base’ using the screw provided, Place your camera on the ‘Camera Riser’ if the camera is too low. When using the riser block (s) you will need to use the longer screw in conjunction with a washer (provided). 5
- 6. Place your i-pad into the rubber sleeve and then the holding tray and lock it in by securing the cross bar with the screws and allen keys provided. 6
- 7. Attach the ‘I-Pad Tray’ to the ’Teleprompter Base’ using one of the mounting screws provided. Move the Teleprompter back and fourth to find the optimal balance point. Note: When in use as a ‘Traditional’ prompter the rear monitor mounting plate can be removed using the allen keys provided or used to mount additional accessories such a video recorders or monitors. 7

- 9. Attach the ‘Teleprompter Base’ to the quick release plate of your camera tripod using the allen key, nut,bolt and washers provided. - 11. Glass Care To ensure optimal image quality the I-Prompter utilises an ultra thin beam-splitter glass, Please handle the glass with extreme care. To clean the glass use a lint free cloth and if necessary use an acid and vinegar free glass cleaning solution. Exposure The I-Prompter for i-pad changes the exposure by approximately 1 stop, similar to the affect of a neutral density filter. Box Contents 11
