Ir + Infinitives
Ir = To Go
     Ir = to go          1. We go?
• Yo voy      = I go     2. You go?
• Tú vas      = you go   3. I Go?
• El/ella/usted va
                         4. They go?
  = he/she goes
• nosotros vamos =       5. He goes?
  we go                  6. She goes?
• vosotros váis     =    7. It goes?

                         8. Y’all go?
• ellos/ellas/ustedes
  van
Ir + a + infinitive= Going to..…
• In your sentences you need an “a”
    between voy/va and the place you are
    going to. Always use “a” after ir when
    going to a place. The “a” = to in English.
•   Example:

• Yo voy a la biblioteca.
Ir + a + infinitive= Going to..…
  Yo voy a cantar =
                                •   Necesitar = to need
I am going to sing              •   Cantar = to sing
• Tú vas a cantar =             •   Hablar = to speak
you are going to sing           •   Tocar la guitarra = to play
                                    the guitar
• El/ella/usted va a cantar     •   Sacar la foto = to take a
 = he/she is going to sing          photo
• nosotros vamos a cantar =     •   Tomar el sol = to sun bathe
we are going to sing            •   Beber = to drink
                                •   Leer = to read
• vosotros váis a cantar    =   •   Correr = to run
