This document describes a proposed system to control a wheelchair using eye movement detection. The system uses infrared sensors - one to detect obstacles and another mounted on goggles to capture eye blinks. When the user blinks, the signal is sent to an Arduino board which controls a motor driver circuit to move the wheelchair forward, backward, left or right. The system is intended to help differently abled and paralyzed individuals move independently using only their eyes. It aims to improve safety by incorporating obstacle detection to avoid accidents. The proposed design uses low-cost, accessible components like Arduino, IR sensors and motors to achieve this assistive technology solution.
