This document summarizes a study on the seismic performance of composite structures with different bracing systems using ETABS software. The study models G+6, G+12, and G+18 story composite structures with conventional X bracing, zipper bracing, and strong back system (SBS) bracing. Static and dynamic analyses are performed. The results show that zipper bracing significantly reduces lateral displacement in lower rise structures, while double spring SBS bracing provides the best seismic performance for higher rise structures by reducing base shear and roof displacement up to 95% compared to unbraced structures. SBS bracing is most effective for controlling seismic responses in medium and high-rise composite buildings.
