Windows Movie Maker allows users to easily create movies by editing and combining video clips, photos, and audio files. The document outlines an 8 step process for making an automated "AutoMovie" with Movie Maker: 1) Open Movie Maker, 2) Capture video files, 3) Select the "Edit Movie" and "AutoMovie" options, 4) Choose an editing style, 5) Add a title, 6) Select background music, 7) Let Movie Maker finish editing, and 8) Save the completed movie.

Windows Movie Maker magic! By Laura Miller IRLS 571 2/17/10 Project 1
Media and movie Maker Media means video files, picture files (jpeg, gifs, etc), and any audio files (mp3, wav, etc). All can be used in Windows Movie Maker! Can import video a few ways: -Download saved movie file. -Obtain source through webcam. Make sure webcam is turned on or correct usb port is plugged in.
Using Movie maker Step One: Open Windows Movie Maker.
Step Two: Under “Movie Task” pane click on “1. Capture Video”. Movie Maker will make a collection (video clips pieced together) from your movies. -Option 1 connect camera to the computer. -Option 2 download video file. Step Three: Click on “2. Edit Movie” and find and select “Make an AutoMovie”.
Using Movie Maker Cont. Step Four: After clicking on “Make an AutoMovie” select an editing style from the automated menu. -There are five types of styles to choose (Flip and slide, Highlights Movie, Music Video, Old Movie, and Sports Highlights). Additional Step Five: Under more options click on “Enter a title for the movie” then type your title. - You do not have to create a title credit page. Additional Step Six: Under more options click “Select audio or background music”.
Using Movie Maker Cont. Additional Step Six: Under more options click “Select audio or background music”. Select “browse” and search for the song in it’s saved location (My computer, Desktop, etc). -You do not have to add music to any of of the credit pages (Title and End). -You can also rip music from cds, ipod, or an mp3 player using Windows Media Player. Step Seven: Click on “Done, edit movie”. - This process will take 20-30 minutes. After Movie Maker finishes it’s editing…..
Using Movie Maker Cont. Step Seven: Click on “Done, edit movie”. -After Movie Maker finishes it’s editing click “Play” on the preview monitor to watch the video. Step Eight: Click on “Save” and type the title name for the file. Then select a location in the computer to save your movie (Desktop, My Movies, My Documents, etc). -You can also publish your movie on the web through Windows Movie Maker!
