LEAN IT Infrastructure
This document outlines a Lean IT framework with four zones of decreasing complexity and increasing automation. Zone 1 focuses on security, support, and application development with seasoned professionals following strict coding standards and defect tracking. Systems are fully integrated with minimal servers and domains and regularly archived with pull replication. Zone 2 introduces skeleton support crews and logging of all issues. Application development adheres to clean room standards with low defect rates. Systems are manageable and integrated with annual Lean reviews. Zone 3 further simplifies with usable but not locked down networks paired to support, development, and security with annual reviews.
