In Bill Lizard, Bill uses jargon at the beginning of the drama related to sci-fi and mystery. These terms were hard to understand when you are new to the subject and don’t know what’s happening.Mode of Address.The 4 types of Mode of Address are; formal, informal, direct and in direct. These terms can be fitted to any text or audio.
In Bill Lizard, the Modes of Address used are formal at the beginning and then it changes to in formal throughout. It also is direct as the narrator is speaking directly to you, although it then changed to in direct.Register.This is if the way the narrator is speaking is a formal way or a in formal way. It is measured using this scale.
Bill Lizard uses a very formal voice at the beginning and he even say’s it’s a frozen voice. Then it goes onto be more informal as he starts been ‘jokey’ with the other characters.  Narrative.Narrative includes; single or multi strand, equilibrium, disruption and a solution.
The drama is a single strand as it only has one story happening.

  • 7. It also has a equilibrium and a disruption. The equilibrium is Bill and Cyril being calm at the beginning and then the disruption is the woman turning up and asking for help. Codes of Context.This is if the drama has got a; jingle, atmosphere or it’s own space.
  • 8. At the beginning of the drama, the narrator has his own space, you know this as there is no other people or noises around. As the drama continues it begins to have a atmosphere as there is more going on in the background.
